SAFEGUARDNG
Safeguarding is more than a set of rules, legal compliances or procedures. Keeping people safe is God’s heart and our responsibility, to love like He does. Jesus’ concern flows from His love for all people, His desire for their well-being, and His commitment to justice and compassion.
Safeguarding protocols are in place to provide safe ministry experiences for all people. Cabramatta Vineyard Church has adopted these Safeguarding Policy and Procedures as part of our commitment to healthy and accountable Spirit-led ministry.
CHILD PROTECTION
Cabramatta Vineyard Church is a member of Safe Ministry Check which provides training, background checks and records keeping for all staff and volunteers working with vulnerable persons.
Children are entitled to be safe and protected. They have the right to be respected, listened to and their needs addressed in all church activities, whether mixed age or child specific.
Ministry involving children requires absolute trustworthiness.
Cabramatta Vineyard Church is committed to its Leaders introducing children to Jesus in a safe, secure and loving environment. Our Child Protection Policy reflects our desire and dedication to:
- promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children during their participation in Activities, including Kids Church, Youth, worship, special events and conferences;
- assist employees, volunteers and others to recognise child abuse; and
- report child abuse and other misconduct to the NSW Police or other authorities in accordance with our legal obligations, or where there are reasonable grounds for suspecting a child is at risk of significant harm.
